Smells Like Yukon co-stars complete spring migration

WHITEHORSE (SLYwire) Smells Like Yukon co-stars Jesse Devost and Mark Koepke have completed their spring migration from the White Pass Summit to a new location on the road to Haeckel Hill just outside of Whitehorse. Evidence of this new position is now visible in the webcam video streamed to the home page of SmellsLikeYukon.com.

“They’re like the majestic caribou of the Porcupine herd,” says Smells Like Yukon field biologist J.D. Sparkles, referring to their epic seasonal migration. “The main difference is, they travel with lawn chairs. Also, there are slightly fewer people who want to shoot and gut them.”

Jesse and Mark had occupied their previous position since March 21.

“They found the light a little weird up there,” Sparkles says. “The weather was beautiful and sunny, yet they always seemed to be in shadow. There was a similar problem with their wintering spot in the Fraser area. They were hopeful that their re-location, combined with a new season, would fix the problem. Unfortunately, this issue seems to follow them wherever they go.”

While they may occasionally get out of their lawn chairs to stretch their legs, forage for edibles, and take care of other “business,” the Smells Like Yukon co-stars are expected to remain stationary for the better part of the summer months.

“If you think you see either of them around town during this time, you are actually seeing two devilishly handsome robotic doubles,” Sparkles adds.

As for the real Jesse and Mark, they were last heard having an intense discussion about who felt more like John Denver on a country road.

In other news, Mark and Jesse have now decided, for the sake of simplicity and consistency, to officially adopt the title of “Smells Like Yukon co-stars,” but only with reference to the two of them together. Individually, they will continue to be known as “knob.”
