SLY.com concludes online poll, declares results “grossly inaccurate”

WHITEHORSE (SLYwire) Smells Like Yukon has now completed its seventh online poll, in which Yukoners were asked how they might "pimp" the scenic views from their offices. The poll included 20 options, ranging from shifting the locations of various mountains to encouraging hot dog vendors to be more exuberant in the display of their wares.

No sooner had the poll been concluded than Smells Like Yukon dismissed the results.

“Only two people voted,” explains Smells Like Yukon's Director of Pointless Exercises J.D. Sparkles, “and one of them was Mark. Based on the other response, I can only conclude that the respondent was Thane Phillips, who was an interview subject for “The Office Sweet” radio segment that inspired the poll in question. So, clearly, there was a conflict of interest.”

Given the results—or lack thereof—Yukoners are no closer to knowing the best way to improve their working environments.

“It’s sad,” admits Sparkles. “I suppose we could run the poll again and hope the results wouldn’t be so grossly inaccurate. But, frankly, there’s nothing to warrant that kind of optimism.”

Instead, Smells Like Yukon will probably conduct a poll on another subject of no interest to listeners or the general public.
