Help with feeds

If you’d like to subscribe to the RSS feed of the Smells Like Yukon Flog but don’t know what you’re doing, I can relate. However, with some effort, I have managed to figured out how to do it a few different ways.

Firefox Browser

If you’re using the Firefox browser (same probably goes for Mozilla), when you navigate to any page on this blog, you should see a little square orange icon (with white waves inside it) in the bottom right hand corner of your browser window. Click the icon. Do what the pop-up says. The posts will then appear as “Live Bookmarks” in a new specially-named folder in your Bookmarks.

Google Reader

If you already use Gmail, this is a good bet. Just add Google Reader to the list of services on your account. It’s free. Once you’re in the Google Reader, just follow three easy steps to add a subscription to this blog:

1. Click “Add Subscription”

2. Type “http://www.smellslikeyukon.com/blog/”

3. Presto.

Newsgator

Newsgator is another popular feed reader. Once you have an account (again, it’s free), just follow these easy steps:

1. Click “Add Feeds” button in the top menu.

2. Select the fourth tab–”URL & Import”.

3. Type “http://www.smellslikeyukon.com/blog/”

4. Presto

And, just in case there was any doubt, DO NOT include the quotation marks when inputting the feed URL!
