With Mark in Hawaii with his family during the month of November and Jesse, well, doing other stuff right here in Whitehorse, Smells Like Yukon brought in some heavyweight talent to pull this segment together. For starters, William Goldman, best known as an Academy Award-winning screenwriter of films such as Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid, agreed to recreate the magic of that famous buddy film for our humble little radio series. We think you'll agree that he did an admirable job, even if his work wasn't quite up to the usual Smells Like Yukon standard.
Of course, you've probably never heard of William Goldman, so we're counting on you to be really, really impressed to learn that we also secured the services of ultra-reclusive sonic genius Robert "Mutt" Lange—aka Mr. Shania Twain—to twiddle our knobs for "Who's Hot & Who's Not." And before you jump to conclusions, that stuff about twiddling our knobs is just fancy radio jargon for "produce."
Naturally, we were a little concerned when the first cut of the segment had the chorus from Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar On Me" looping continuously beneath Jesse's entire vocal track. After discussing this with Mutt, we were even more concerned that he simply replaced Def Leppard with some crap tune by Nickleback. Eventually, the whole thing got sorted out, though not before the lead cheeseball from Nickleback punched Mark in the face outside a nightclub in Vancouver.
Mark, of course, denies that he is the Worst Dressed Person in Whitehorse, even if the people around him continuously comment on his winter attire—or lack thereof. Just last weekend, he saw some chick crossing Main Street at Second Avenue in shorts and a T-shirt. It was minus 25 celcius. Where the hell was she when Jesse was sneaking around behind Mark's back? At any rate, whatever "condition" Mark has doesn't appear to be genetic; his parents dress OK and his daughter has recently started to insist on wearing a toque indoors —which happens to be one of Mark's pet peeves. Oh, the shame.
Since everything except for the last paragraph is just pointless BS, there's probably no point in continuing this any longer.
